All the walkways of the market is filled up with stalls that sells flowers and plants. Farmers comes from all over Thailand to sell their product. You can get almost all the kinds og flowers and plants produced in Thailand.
The market have mostly plants, if you wants cut flowers you better go to Bangkok flower market.
If you go just before closing time on Thursday you can be lucky to make some good deals when the vendors are about to go home.
Chatuchak market is open from 6 am to 6 pm.
Chatuchak market have existed for more than 60 years.
The market was made and still is a weekend market where you can get all kind of goods. It was made so the poor Bangkok population had a chance to shop at reasonable prices, because the price level in the shops in Bangkok was at that time to expensive for the people coming from the countryside to work and live in Bangkok.
